Asin has revealed a secret. That director Siddique actually penned the heroine role in ‘Bodyguard’ keeping her in mind. “The offer went to Nayantara only after I said no to Siddique due to lack of dates,” she says.

“However I had promised Siddique at that time I would surely do the role when he remakes the film in Tamil,” she says and adds: “That’s how I am now the heroine of ‘Kaavalkaran’, my third movie with Vijay after ‘Sivakasi’ and ‘Pokkiri’.”

Happy about sharing the screen space with Vijay again, she says, “Many say our onscreen chemistry is great. I feel comfortable working with him. My happiness is double since the film is directed by Siddique, one of my favourite filmmakers.”

Saying she never bid adieu to south Indian films, she says, “I was always saying that I would sure do a Tamil or Telugu movie when an interesting offer comes my way. I could never forget Kollywood and Tollywood.”
